DUAL LANGUAGE
ACADEMY
Hooper Ave. Elementary offers a Spanish Dual Language program in first grade only. Students enrolled in the Dual Language program develop academic language and literacy in both English and Spanish using a 50:50 model. They receive rigorous instruction across all subject areas in both English and Spanish in adherence with the California State Standards. For more information, please call our school at 323-232-3571.
We need your Help and SUPPORT! Hooper Elementary School implements a closed campus procedure at all times. “Closed Campus” policy means that during school hours, our campus is “closed,” with all doors and gates locked. This is to ensure the safety of ALL STUDENTS. There are NO parents permitted on campus during the instructional day without prior approval from the main office and/or principal. Everyone must sign in and sign out at the main office.
All parents are required to pick-up their students at their assigned gate. If you have multiple children to pick-up, please make proper arrangements with your children and the teachers.

Helping our school is easy and requires little effort on your part! We are collecting BoxTop Labels and Labels for Education.
Please clip and donate your labels to our school! Every label is worth 10 cents each for Hooper Avenue ES!

ONLINE MEAL APPLICATION
Parents and guardians can submit a meal application online starting July 1, 2013. The application will be processed within 24 hours, and you will not have to fill out a paper application and mail it or hand it over to the Food services Manager at your child’s school. By clicking on the link you can access the online meal application. Apply Now
Click on the ENGLISH /ESPANOL tab above and choose the language you would like to use. In order to complete the application you will need:

Names, Dates of birth and school names for all LAUSD students including any income information for them, if they have an income.

Names of all other household members with their income information.

Last 4 digits of the Social Security Number of person submitting the application or indicate “I do not have one” if you do not have a Social Security Number.

Just follow the instructions and provide the information being requested.

Lastly after the final review, click on the submit tab and finish the application.
